Welcome ladies to our pre-crop countdown. What we have for you is a different card each day counting down to our fun filled Olympic crop. Each day we will be featuring a different country that is an Olympic participant, and we will be making a card based on that countries flag colours. We would like to see you do the same thing, create a card based on those colours. You can scraplift the card you see, or you can create a card of your own, but it must be the flag colours of the day. For each card you complete for this challenge, your name will be entered into a draw for a $10.00 ribbon gc for the store!! You must post the image of your card in this forum under the appropriate country, as well keep a running total in this thread of the ones you have completed – don’t want to miss anyone out! Have fun ladies.

Cards must be done and posted in the proper thread before the crop starts to be eligible for the draw, so by Thursday 12:00 midnight MST as the crop starts on Friday morning.

March Savvy Kit Projects!

I had a LOT of fun creating with the March Savvy Kit this month! Here is what this awesome kit of ribbons looks like!

 

This kit includes: 7 Yards co-ordinating Ribbons (1 yard of each): Snowcone Grosgrain, White – Berry Stitch, Geranium Grosgrain, White Velvet, Blue Grosgrain, Pink Grosgrain, White Grosgrain

ZZ March Spring Break Kit

My {March Sassy Kit} Creations

I got to work with the Sassy kit this month. In fact, I’m still working with it.

The ribbons in this kit are AWESOME! I got so much ribbon in it.

Linda’s March Sassy Kit Creations

I had so much fun with my first kit as part of Savvy N Sassy’s design team! I absolutely LOVE the colours of this ribbon kit! It matches so well with a lot of paper lines out there. I used up all of the grosgrain, but I still have lots of the jacquard and huge ric rac left.

I made this small clipboard for pics of my girly girl that I can change whenever I want.

Darling Frame

I took 2 Cosmo Cricket lacing cards, covered them with paper and laced them together with the ribbon from this kit to make a desktop frame.

You are Special Tag

I stamped “you are special” on the grosgrain ribbon across this jumbo tag.

Hi, I am Sarah and I live in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Ns. I moved from NFld. to NS. 6 years ago and married my DH 3 yrs ago.I have 3 grown children and just became a grandma for the first time in Nov.   I started out doing a bit of scrapbooking 4 yrs ago and then fell
in love with cardmaking.Since becoming a grandma, I have the passion to scrapbook my beautiful granddaughter Avery. Its truly an honour to have been choosen as Savvy n Sassy’s Guest Designer for the month of March.I was given the March Savvy Kit to create with.

Even More *ZZ March Caliope Reverie Kit*

The ZZ March Caliope Reverie Kit is such a great kit to work with! I’m in love with all the ribbons in the kit!. You can find it HERE in the store.

I created 3 LO’s this month. The first is for Martina’s Fabric Challenge over in the Wrap it up section of our forums. This was such a fun challenge to do. I used my mothers quilt scraps, and Black Double Loop Braid – #0370 from the kit.

The second LO uses Sweetheart Pink Lace from the kit, Heidi Swapp Chipboard – Hearts Silver and matching papers from the co-ordinating Zany Zinnia kit.

My Last LO was done for Shannon’s Book of Me Challenges. Go check it out over on the forums, you will definitely be inspired to create in your book! I used the Aqua Cotton Blend Lace from the kit. It matches the Basic Grey Papers perfectly! Yummy!! I also used more Heidi Swapp Chipboard – Hearts Silver from the store as well.

More March Caliope kits.

I made this first card using a little bit of the beautiful pink lace from the March Caliope kit. So pretty.

This card I used some of the blue lace as trim on the bottom to keep the card soft and pretty. 

This layout uses both the black ribbons from this kit. They work well on the masculine layouts, adding just the right touch.
