This is definitely one of the prettiest ribbon kits I have seen. The colours are lush and rich, and so versatile.
I love the turquoise ric-rac which I placed across my picture in this layout at the bottom:
In the second layout I used the beautiful striped grosgrain ribbon as a simple accent beneath the swirly cardstock piece. It’s simple but effective.
What a fun kit to work with! I made a couple of cute cards for my nieces:
The Foam Cat Card uses Kiwi Green Satin Edge Organza from the SnS July ~ Summer Breeze Kit for the cats whiskers. Fun card to do, used all scraps except for the foam cat:) Sorry for the bad scan – I think its because it was so thick?
The Monkey Card used the Huge White Ric Rac – #0012 from the to balance my felt bookmark Monkey:) All other items are from my stash:)
From the SnS July ~ Summer Breeze kit I used Turquoise Satin Edge Oganza & White Twill Tape. Other Products Used: Cosmo Cricket Chipboard Letters, Junkitz PP – Basic Hoops White, Heidi Grace Rub ons, White & Black Pen, and Staples. Created for Brittney’s GDT Colorless Challenge & for the ABC Challenge – J is for…
From the SNS July Summer Breeze kit I used the Canary Yellow Satin Edge Organza. Other Products used: Glimmer Mist – Olive, Junkitz PP (Earth Circles), Junkitz Run Ons, Just Corina by Prima Fancy Felt Matties, ZZ Button, Stash Chipboard, bling & a black pen. Go Get your SNS July Summer Breeze Kit while you can! Its such a great kit to work with!
I worked with the Picnic in the Park kit and loved it! The trims are to die for and the sheer ribbons add that extra elegant touch to any project. This kit comes with so much ribbon, I created an acrylic mini, 4 cards, and a LO with plenty leftover! check it out here: http://savvynsassy.com/shoppe/product_info.php?products_id=1376
I had the honor of playing w/ the July ZZ Vintage Garden kit and I must say that this kit matches everything in my “to do” pile. I can not believe how much you get for $4.00!!! Look at this!
I have played and played w/ it and I still have some leftovers. Here are some of my creations: (CLICK THEM TO SEE BIGGER PICTURES)
I’ve loved working with these ribbons–the fun summer colors are great! I still have plenty of ribbon left to work with, so hopefully I’ll have another project to post soon.
I made a simple layout with a photo of my mom and aunt. Eating fudge, so the title seemed appropriate. Green organza from the Summer Breeze kit went nicely with these Pink Paislee papers. Using ribbon like this is really easy. Just twist and staple at random intervals.

I got to work with the fabulous ‘Vintage Garden Kit’ this month. I found it matched so many papers.
This first one matches October Afternoon. I made a ribbon flower to accent the page. I love the peach/blue color scheme.
The next is Pink Paislee. The ric rac is wrapped around the picture and some of the sheer dot ribbon is wrapped around the heart.
Basic Grey, Sultry. I decided to use my ribbon as leaves for my flowers.
Here I used the Fiskars Ribbon threading punch to thread the ribbon
Basic Grey, Archaic. This was for Martina’s Pleats challenge.
Thanks for looking.
If you thought Ribbon was just to add a bit of trim to your project, well think again.
With this page I used ribbon as the main embellishment. In fact, I used a tiny paper mat, and the everything else is varying widths, lengths and textures of ribbons.
In fact if you have leftover pieces of your favourite trims, hold onto them and create a collage like this. I chose a neutral cardstock (black) and turned my picture to black and white. This ensured that I was free to use a mix of different coloured ribbons without causing them to clash on the page.
A few lively embellishments, and some bright Thickers for the title, and I have a colourful page, using my favourite trims.
The title says it all, this ribbon kit is DREAMY!! Rich warm colours mixed with playful polka dots and stripes… what’s not to love???
Here I stamped my flowered background first using Making Memories foam stamps and paint, and then I added an assortment of flowers from my stash over top. I used the large ric rac from the kit, as well as some foam Thickers from American Crafts.
This card was a fun little ditty to make! I used a Bigz scallop die to make my card, and the bird is also a Bigz die as well. I used a Rhonna F rub-on, and covered it with Ranger’s crackle accent to give it a funky twist. A touch of ribbon from the kit here and there tie it all together. (Psst! There are a few different Sizzix dies available in store right now!!)
I really love this picture of my ‘then’ 18 month old daughter. She’s now seven, and still has those amazing eyes! The papers I used here with the Garden of Dreams ribbon, is from We R Memory Keepers. The felt is from Fancy Pants, and I added some Stickles glitter to it.
Pie anyone?? Aren’t these little gift boxes adorable!! Here I used ric rac and ribbon from the kit, with papers from Scenic Route. Scrumptious!!
There are some really great challenges going on in the forum this month. And I had plenty of ribbon in my Garden of Dreams kit, to play along!
to name a few!
