I loved working with all of the lucious, yummy browns and blues in this ribbon kit! The mixture of grograin and satin edge organza was truly a feast for my sense of touch and I couldn’t get enough of those little dinos!!

This month has been a pretty crazy one for me (three weeks of being sick) so I don’t feel I’ve really been able to do justice to this kit–but I still have plenty of ribbons and trims left, so hopefully I’ll be able to get some more done with them.

For our DIVALICIOUS CROP that is!!! Don’t forget to join us tomorrow for the kick off of our two week long crop. The classes are incredible, the make n takes so fun, and the challenges promise something to appeal to everyone! Oh, I did I mention prizes? Yes I do believe we have a ‘few’ of those.. (Boy is that an understatement!!). So make sure your adhesive stash is stocked, and come play along!!

September ZZ Mod Posy Kit
What a versatile kit to work with! I made a mini album, a LO, and an altered Halloween Display this month, and I still have more ribbon to use. Its like the never ending kit! Yay!

I used Light Blue, Navy Blue & Light Gold Satin Edge Organza from the kit. Also used: Autumn Leaves PP, Rhinestones, Metal Tabs, Misc Chipboard, Blue & Brown Chalk Ink, Pearl Glimmer Mist & White Pen. A couple of people have asked how I did the ribbon technique. It was super easy. I first stapled the Navy Blue ribbon where I wanted it, and left it a little loose, I then went back and threaded the Light Gold ribbon around the Navy Blue and placed glue dots over my staples to anchor it down. Very Easy & Fast.
I had a birthday this month, so I created a Mini Album to remember part of my day.
I used: Light Blue & Navy Blue Satin Edge Organza, as well as the Small Rust Ric Rac from the September ZZ Mod Posy Ribbon Kit. Also Used: Little Yellow Bicycle – Vita Bella – Fold Out Album, My Mind’s Eye Journal Card & Stash Brads. Digital Credit to Word ARt by Bethany.

This was very fun to make! I used the Navy Blue & Light Gold Satin Edge Organza from the September ZZ Mod Posy Kit, Magistical Memories Desire Flower, Making Memories Paint, Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue – Black Diamond, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Red & Green & Yellow, Ranger Glossy Accents, Stash Stickers, Pipe Cleaners, Dollar Store Vase & Flowers. I think it turned out pretty Spooky!! lol

Mmmm… Strawberry Shortcake!!

The ribbon and lace in the September Strawberry Shortcake Kit is as yummy as it’s name!
Not only do I love the bright pinks and greens of this kit, I really love how I was able to match it up with both new and old products from my stash.
To create these little gift containers, I used the scraps left from my layout and some empty Sizzix packaging. I will most likely use them to finish off a baby shower gift, but really you could design these for any occasion as suits your needs.
Oh.. and a little added bonus, there are these GREAT new buttons in store that go right along with this ribbon kit!
Creating A Ribbon Flower

Here’s a quick and easy technique to create a ribbon flower. You will need the following supplies:
12″ of 1 1/2″ ribbon, 6″ of 1″ ribbon, needle, thread, 1 medium sized brad
First, fold the short end under (approx 1/4")
Then, stitch the entire length of the 1 1/2" ribbon using a basting stitch.
Pull the thread and gather the ribbon until it forms a circle.
Stitch the ends together so the gathering does not unravel.
This is what it will look like.
Repeat the same steps for the 1" ribbon.
Layer the smaller flower on top of the larger one and secure with a brad.
Adhere flower to your project.
