Scallop it!!!!

In thinking of something to share for a technique this month i pondered, i wondered what i’ve learned that i use, actually use OFTEN and i realized i LOVE my corner rounder punches from EK Success that are multi purpose that i can use to create scalloped edges on my layouts, cards and projects.  you’ve seen the precut pieces but here’s a simple way to do your own, on anything you want.

I have these corner rounders in 3 different sizes and use them all but they have to have a removable guard as shown here :

Then holding the punch upside down in your hand so you can see what you are doing, start punching across your paper to create the scalloped edge, lining up the start/finish by looking where the punch will cut (this takes a bit of practice but after a while its so simple and you’ll love it)

You can also take your circle or shape punches to create a lacy style edge, use your imagination.

And the finished product is a fun, easy to do,  border/edge to your project that will impress people who think you’ve used scissors to cut those perfect scallops.  🙂  Enjoy.
