I created this layout for one of the great challenges at our online crop.  Monica challenged us to scrap the oldest Christmas photo we could find, and I chose this sweet one from 1959 of my mom and her little sister in the snow.

I was hoping to mimic the snow on branches idea from the photo and the teal lace from this month’s kit was perfect!  I added some white lace layered on top from the Oct. SnS lace kit and love the way it turned out.

Supplies: Cardstock-Hobby Lobby; Papers-Daisy D’s; DistressInk – Tea Dye; Junkitz flowers; various buttons; acrylic paint and glitter glue (on the flower); Zig writer pen; and SavvynSassy lace

It may be a seasonal kit, but don’t feel like you have to use it all for Christmas-y layouts!  I sure didn’t!  🙂  Here I used the little crocheted lace from the kit to add some softness to this layout.  Also used some brown ric-rac from the store (one of my staples).

Supplies: Cardstock-Hobby Lobby, Michael’s; My Mind’s Eye paper; Heidi Swapp chipboard alphas and ledger journaling spot; Target $1 Spot cork alpha stickers; staples; WM felt ric-rac; SavvynSassy brown ric-rac and crotchet lace

For this project I made my own transparencies with overhead projector sheets and staz-on ink.  The elaborate ribbon is from the ZZ kit and the velvet trim behind the circle is from the store.  It’s just gorgeous–if you don’t have any you should get some!

Supplies: CS-Crate, Hollo’s, Hobby Lobby; DMC floss; Distress Ink; Staz-On ink; Purple Onion and Autumn Leaves stamps; Basic Grey alphas; various buttons

December XMAS Kit

‘Tis the Season, and Savvy N Sassy does not dissapoint!  The December Xmas Kit is so bright and cheerful, you can’t help but be in the holiday mood when your creating with it!

Here are two of the fun projects I created with the awesome kit!  It would also be the perfect ribbon to use on Christmas cards, or for accenting some homemade Christmas decorations.  The possibilities are endless!

(Below is one of the great classes that were posted at last weeks Colourful Christmas Crop!)
