Savvy N Sassy will be looking for THREE energetic and creative designers who love ribbon to join our design team!
If you are interested in receiving a new and exciting ribbon card in the mail each month filled with beautiful designs and colors then this call is for you!

As a design team member, we are seeking individuals who are interested in bonding with the team as a whole, have time to post and upload layouts to share and inspire with everyone on a regular basis. All applicants must be active in the forum/gallery in that they are familiar with our members and the overall environment of SnS. They also must be able to meet the deadlines for projects, blog posts, etc.

-Each month you will receive our Ribbon Kit of the Month in the mail. In turn, DT members are expected to post 3 projects with their kits. One project is 1 layout OR 4 cards OR 1 altered item. DT members are encouraged to do more than one type. For example: 2 layouts and 4 cards. These items created are not sole property of Savvy n Sassy. You will be able to post them in other online galleries, blogs, submissions etc. The only stipulation we ask is that you just add in the “ribbon provided by Savvy n Sassy” phrase when sharing your layouts. These projects are due no later than the due date determined each month and must be loaded onto the Savvy’n’Sassy blog by that date as well. The due date is decided once the kits are ready for mailing and ample time is given for each month.

–A minimum of 25 posts a week on the message board. We encourage you to post more than that.

–Start new topics on the message board (5 – 6 are required/week)

–Post comments in the gallery, look at the projects and praise them.

–Post monthly challenges

–As DT members, we encourage you to do a minimum of at least one of the challenges posted each month other than your own.

–DT members will also be responsible for 1 or 2 “How to” entries on the Savvy n Sassy Blog, and participation in our online crop or contest (we have one crop per 6 month term)

–Help with online crops (challenges, games, etc.)

–Post your Savvy’n’Sassy projects, contests and news on your personal blog.

–A ribbon kit every month to design with.

–Design Team members will receive a discount on stock in store and free shipping on purchases with each months kit. (as long as they are letter mail, larger items will be charged extra)

I love this kit. It’s so yummy. I love how cream is so soft. Makes it super easy to use.

For this layout I decided to weave the ribbon loosely together and staple to the page. I like the feel of wind it gives:

For this one I used 2 of the different pompom ribbons to accent my horizontal strips:

And some cards:

These pretty delicate ribbons and trims got me in a very “vintage-y” mood. 🙂

Love Tags

I used bits of paper scraps and doilies to make these sweet little tags.  Random little flowers from my stash, crinkled seam binding, ruffled up crepe paper, and 7Gypsies stickers all go together with the lovely ribbons and trims from the SNS Jan kit. 🙂

Framed Nest

Vintage sheet music, October Afternoon papers, cream and white paint, nest, eggs, and a little glass-glittered bird decorate this dollar store frame.  The tiny pompom trim is from the Jan SNS kit.

My Girl

Made a super simple page using the dotted grosgrain from the Jan SNS kit and a hand-sewn felt flower.

Valentine’s Assemblage Canvas

I started out with a small canvas and covered it with vintage pink striped linen.  Added vintage sheet music, cut up a vintage postcard, tied on a strip of frayed burlap and a couple tiny porcelain blooms (leftover ones from my flower girl basket from my wedding 5 years ago).  The crepe paper is ruffled and then glued on with a piece of pompom trim from the Jan SNS kit.

Monochromatic Altered Canvas

Simple altered cream-colored canvas using dotted grosgrain from the SNS kit.

BasicGrey’s 2009 POTM program was a monthly class kit program where students
created one double-page layout about themselves every month using the newest
papers from BG paired with classic embellishments.

This year`s POTM Club will include new generic themes: instead of
scrapbooking about yourselves each month, you will have different themes to
choose from, with different journaling prompts so you can scrap about
whatever you want–and let your imagination and creativity soar.Only the
newest papers and embellishments will be used in this years kits.

The Bonus: A FREE EXCLUSIVE BasicGrey Designer Album for each participant!
You will have a place to put your year’s layouts once you have completed the
program. The 12×12 D-Ring album will not be sold to anyone outside of the
Page-of-the-Month Program, so it will be a limited-edition collector’s
product that only Page-of-the-Month students will receive! **you must
complete all 12 months in order to recieve your album.
This program will start in March 2010, and there will be only a limited
number of kits available.  The cost of the program will be $20.00 (plus tax)
each month, for 12 months. Sign up for yours now and be guaranteed to
