Please join us in welcoming the new Design team for March through August.  Everyone who applied was wonderful and the decision was not an easy one. Instead of 3, we have added 5 to the team.  In addition, Holly will be staying on as DT Coordinator and I (Katie) will be staying on as Blog Coordinator.

Please welcome your new Ribbon Design Team members (click on names to be taken to their blogs):

Ali MacDonald

I’m Ali, partner to Pete (Cndn Air Force) and Mom to 4 kiddos and 4 rescued critters plus a horse! I’m a happily addicted scrapper who loves to sew on paper.
I treasure the time when I focus my creative energy on saving memories for my kids! I know I’ll never be “caught up“ in scrappin’ the stories of this family; but it’s OK. It’s all about the creative process! I love to combine writing & paper crafts to create something beautiful. I adore buttons, trims, texture, & crisp clean lines. An organized person by habit, I make one heck of a mess when I scrapbook! I am a person blessed to see the “silver linings” in clouds, and who loves to teach and laugh! It’s awesome to be here:  I’m 100% thrilled to be a part of the Savvy ‘n Sassy Design Team!

Avina Lim

Hi! I’m Avina from the sunny island of Singapore where scrapbooking is probably a national hobby! I’ve been scrapping for 2 -3  years now.  Scrapbooking is my creative outlet and stress reliever! I love experimenting in any form, all the way from techniques to even styles of scrapping!  I look forward to inspiring you and being inspired by you!

Janet Zeppa

My name is Janet and I live in St.Catharines. I have been married for 35 years and have 3 grown children. I work in my local Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and teach a fitness class 2 evenings a week.
Why do I scrapbook? Because it’s fun!!! I like to cut and paste and colour and paint and sew and basically I’ll try anything. I started scrapbooking and making cards about 5 years ago when my daughter got engaged. I knew I wanted to preserve every memory of her wedding. Now there’s no turning back.
It also brings me joy when I give my family and friends a gift that I have made just for them.
I’m very excited to be part of the SavvynSassy DT!

Jennifer Cassista

My name is Jennifer and I am totally thrilled to be part of this DT. what an incredible group of talent I am going to be surrounded by. I started scrapping a number of years ago in the CM style. Happily I threw down my stickers and ventured over to the “dark side” and there has been no turning back. My scrapping stuff now has taken over 1/4 of my basement and all of my dining room.
I am a full time labour and delivery nurse at a small community hospital outside of Toronto Ontario Canada. I am very lucky to have found such a wonderful job to do for the last 22 years.
I am married to my first boyfriend Gary. Those 22 yrs have gone by in a flash! we have 2 wonderful kids Jess is in dental hygeine school and Ryan is 14 and in grade 9.
I just can’t wait to get busy with this awesome team!!!!

Tamera Hockley

Well Hi There! I am Tamara and I live in central Alberta, Canada with my super but crazy kids- Madison, Corbin and Tanner, part-time step kids Michael and Andrew and my partner, Clayton. Oh yeah, and many, many furry, feathered and/or scaled friends. My most favorite things in life are kids, critters and creating! I was always “the kid with the imagination” and often got in trouble for doing things like cutting up pictures! “that’s just not what you do, Tam” my mom would say…  “they need to go into a photo album”…BORING! I remember when I wasn’t allowed to paint because my mom was busy etc, I quickly learnt ways to do it anyhow by making a brush from alfalfa flowers and paint from mud or squished bugs….who needs paper when you can find a million rocks! My friends would call me supportive, fun and creative. I would call me passionate, motivated and eager to learn. My style has a vintage twist but that doesn’t mean that all my projects look this way! My favorite designer is Tim Holtz and my biggest inspirations come from being outdoors. I absolutely love to take photos of little things, like flowers, rain drops or a mushroom- frost has been the focus in my lens a lot lately!  As much as I love the craft and create, I also love to teach and I can’t wait to share some of my ideas and projects with you! From cards to canvas, layouts to linens- most of all I hope that I can help you do more of what makes you happy!!
