Today I have a very cute little card to share with you. The very talented Becky Fleck taught us this card a few weeks back at a Basic Grey class. I changed it up a bit to incorporate some ribbon. I just loved it and thought I’d share it with you all.
Here is what you will need:
a piece of cardstock cut to 7 1/2 x 6 inches
a piece of cardstock cut to 6 x 5 inches
2 pieces of patterned paper cut to 2 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches
2 piece of patterned paper cut to 2 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches
1 piece of patterned paper cut to 5 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches
ribbon
embellishments
Take your biggest piece of cardstock and score it at 2 1/2 inches (along the 7 1/2 inch side). On the smaller piece of cardstock score at 3 inches on the 6 inch side
Now take your biggest cardstock piece and turn it so the fold is vertical and the shorter part is on your left. Adhere your biggest piece of patterned paper on the right side. And take one of your 2 1/4 x 5 3/4 patterned paper pieces and adhere it on the left of the fold. Make sure not to cover your fold. Here is what it should look like:
Next, take the smaller of your cardstock peices and adhere it to the base above about 3/4 inches from the edge when folded:
Adhere 1 of the remaining patterned paper pieces on the inside. Now to do the front. Attach the ribbon with tape to both fronts and then tuck it under the back of the base. Make sure you have enough to loop around the whole card.
Attach the front patterned paper panels.
Finally embellish and you are done
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I’d love to see your interpretation if you do one.
